Christopher went over and above the call of duty. He had to ordered parts but to make sure we were comfortable in the meantime, he went back to the shop and brought us portable a/c units to keep us comfortable while we wait for the parts to be delivered.

This company was superb. I got an excellent bid on an American Standard heat pump, reflecting an older generation system. I wasn’t initially able to accept the bid because I was on vacation and wanted to get two more bids. Astro’s bid was the best, but the older generation machine was no longer available. Shawn carried over the bid price to the newer system, which was a very good deal.
When the new system was installed, it had a defective part. Astro ordered a replacement part from American Standard. . I watched as they replaced the second part, and saw it required moving a delicate copper tube, a critical component of the system. But it ended up that American Standard had sent the wrong part.
It wasn’t noticeable at first because the part looked identical to the correct one. The issue was related to the brains of the system for a multistage system. Instead of getting a third part, which would require moving that copper tube again, Astro told American Standard to completely replace the unit. That was an inconvenience to me because I had no heat during that interval. But it was the right thing to do. Thankfully it was in late April, so it wasn’t much of a sacrifice.
After the new system was installed and operational, Astro added extra insulation to infill where it had become tamped down during installation of the system, at no extra charge, because of the inconvenience to me. Really a class act. I would highly recommend this company.

AC went out on a hot Sunday evening. Called Astro at 7:15 am Monday. I guess I got lucky with a cancellation and they were able to come out at 8am. The tech had the issue fixed in less than 20 minutes.

This is our 5th year of owning our Astro Air Heat/AC system, and also a visit for our annual summer maintenance. Our technician, Christopher Alvarado, was the most helpful and he educated us about our system more so then any visit we’ve had over the years. We also found our system has an electronic cleaner and the status light was RED so it needed to be cleaned. We said “system electronic cleaner?” Didn’t knew we had one or have forgotten over the 5 years since installation. He explained how it worked and why we didn’t need a filter at the intake – I had purchased a few to last a few years. Anyway no other technician mentioned this during prior visits and the cleaner was probably not working since it was in RED status. I just want to say thanks Christopher for being a professional and its appreciated!
